Yellow Amber or succinite takes on all the colours of honey, opaque or translucent, from light yellow to dark brown, going from cognac brown, red, white and black, with or without the inclusion of an insect.
Odourless when at rest, it will diffuse a characteristic perfume when rubbed or heated, classifying amber into aromatic substances.
